Palin was tapped by President Donald Trump in the summer of 2020 to lead the EPA.
She was confirmed by the Senate on January 3, 2021.
“Sarah Palin is an absolute patriot,” Trump said during a televised speech announcing her nomination.
“I have known Sarah for many years, and she’s an absolute pro-life, pro-family, pro-[women’s] rights, pro-” Trump said.
“She’s a strong advocate for clean air, clean water and clean food, and I know that’s what she’s going to bring to the job.”
Sarah Palin has had an active career as a former Alaska Governor.
She began her political career in 1988 as an independent candidate for governor.
During the 1980s and 1990s, she ran for president twice, and was re-elected in 1994.
She is the oldest surviving daughter of George W Bush.
Her husband, former Gov.
Norm Patten, died in 2018 of complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
Palin, who is a registered Republican, served as the state’s governor for nearly 20 years and was the first woman elected to the state House of Representatives in 1992.
She then worked for several years as the executive director of the Alaska Republican Party, which was a top priority for the Republican Party at the time.
Palin served as Alaska’s attorney general for two terms before retiring in 2016.
During her time as attorney general, she worked closely with the Bush administration, working to push for federal policies that helped drive the nation’s energy transition.
She also led efforts to pass a law to expand Medicaid coverage and help Alaska’s poor.
Palin’s father, former President Ronald Reagan, served for eight years as Alaska Gov., during which time he oversaw the transition from the Cold War to a new era of energy independence and a shift toward domestic economic growth.
Palin ran unsuccessfully for president in 2020.
She has since endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
Sarah, a former Republican congresswoman, is known for her work on environmental issues and her commitment to promoting Alaska’s economy and jobs.
She received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2017.
Palin and her husband had four children, all of whom were raised in Alaska.
“We have a lot of work to do, but the great thing about Sarah is that she’s a big believer in the American Dream and she wants to make sure that we have that dream,” Huckabee said in an interview with ABC News in April 2017.
Sarah is the second daughter of President George H.W. Bush and was named the first lady of the United State in 1991.
She served as first lady from 1987 to 1991.
Sarah’s brother, George H., was the former U.S. Attorney General from 1990 to 1995 and served as attorney for the U.N. under President Bill Clinton.
She became a U. S. Senator in 1999 and served in the U,S.
House of Representative from 2003 to 2007.
Palin also served as chair of the board of directors of the George W., Bush and Romney Victory Fund, which is run by the former president’s family.
Sarah was the second woman to serve as governor of the state.
In 2012, Sarah Palin was reelected to a third term.
She said in a statement at the end of her second term that she has been honored to serve the people of Alaska.
She’s also worked hard to create jobs and make our state a destination for people to visit.
“While I am grateful for the great job that I have been able to do in Washington, I’m also grateful for working for Alaska and I want to thank our Governor, Attorney General and people of the people for all that they’ve done for us and the country,” Palin said in her statement.
“My focus is on our children, our children’s future and for them to make Alaska a great place to live, work and raise a family.”
She also thanked the Trump administration and the incoming administration for being a part of her life and career.
“Thank you to all of the men and women who have served in my cabinet,” Palin added.
“They’ve done a great job.
I thank you for the amazing job that you have done.
You’ve done an incredible job.
