McDonald’s, the nation’s biggest fast-food chain, is hiring for more than 200 jobs, including those in Illinois, where the company operates more than 1,200 restaurants.
The company announced Wednesday that it is opening two new stores in Chicago and a new store in the Midwest that will begin accepting applications this week.
McDonald’s, which said it has more than 800 locations across the country, announced plans to hire more than 250 people for those openings, bringing its total workforce to more than 2,000.
The Chicago-based company said it will also be hiring for restaurants in Texas, Kentucky, Missouri, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
It said it also has openings for restaurants, sales associates and administrative and support staff in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky and Louisiana.
McD’s and Wendy’s said the company is working with several outside contractors to make the openings available in early 2018.
McNuggets, which is owned by PepsiCo, also announced plans Wednesday to hire for jobs in the United States and in other markets.
McDonuts said it is hiring more than 400 people in the U.S. for positions that will include “food and beverage service and beverage management.”
In Illinois, the company said that it has openings in its restaurants, restaurants in bars and other businesses.
Mcdonald’s employs more than 11,000 people in its more than 70 U.N. sites in 25 states, including Chicago, Chicago and San Antonio, Texas.
